AK-Xolotl Together is the name of the major new co-op update for AK-Xolotl, the cute-yet-violent action-roguelite from 2Awesome Studio.
The top-down shooter was previously a solo-only affair, but now axolotl-loving rogues on all platforms can enjoy the game in local co-op thanks to the free update.
The co-op mode lands alongside a major 2.0 update that adds a bunch of other new stuff to the game. There are more than 20 additions to an overhauled weapon system, a selection of new items, weapon mods, and even biomes staffed with new bosses.
The Online Beta for AK-Xolotl Together
What’s more, people who own the game on PC can sample the new online co-op mode via a beta on Steam.
You’ll need to join the game’s Discord server to get involved with that testing, though. And they do warn that it’s a proper beta, so only get involved if you want to actively participate in that process.
AK-Xolotl is also currently available on consoles such as PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox, but players on those platforms will have to wait a while for the online mode to join the party.
Finally, publisher Playstack dropped a trailer on YouTube, so check that out below if you want to see AK-Xolotl Together in action.
