Announced and released during a recent Indie World Showcase, Blue Prince is out now on Switch 2, and I’ve been working through its immense challenge.

This indie darling was one of the most acclaimed games to release in 2025, so we’re pleased to see it reach an entirely new audience.

Our Kirsty reviewed the game when it launched on PC last April, and her thoughts were positive after solving the game’s core challenge.

Those entirely positive sentiments are echoed by my own impressions of the game, which I’ve been enjoying on my Switch 2, especially at home on the big screen, with a notebook by my side.

I think Blue Prince is a great fit for Nintendo’s handheld console, and I look forward to taking my time over the game’s complex and involving narrative, which already has its claws in me.
