Given my love for indie games, I try to keep tabs on the studios that are making eye-catching games. One such studio is Bedtime Digital Games, which first came to my attention with their debut game, Figment, which dropped all the way back in 2017.
The studio has since established itself, and several releases later, the developer has just announced its latest title, a co-op action roguelike set in Norse mythology. It’s called Chosen by Odin, and you can bet that with a name like that, there are some god-like powers for players to mess around with.
There’s an upcoming playtest taking applications right now on Steam (no other platforms have been mentioned), and I’ve thrown my hat in the ring. Head over via the link to sign up and find out about the closed test that is already up and running.
Chosen by Odin supports 1-3 players and has you and a couple of buds taking down cultists across the Nine Realms, wherein we’ll have godly powers to shape our builds. To that end, there’ll be a dice system to drive the roguelite elements.
It sounds really interesting, and the reveal trailer, embedded below, shows some well-polished visuals and smooth-looking gameplay. Given the pedigree of the developer, I think Chosen by Odin is one to watch!
