I feel a bit dirty writing a news piece with such little substance, but I’m far too invested in Darkest Dungeon II to turn back now, and those wicked souls at Red Hook do have something to share, however tantalisingly brief it may be.
The teaser trailer below is pretty much all she wrote, but it does confirm that The Butcher’s Asylum is coming to Darkest Dungeon II in 2027. I don’t think it’ll surprise anyone to find out that it’s also going to be quite violent. Please contain your shock.
The trailer signs off by noting that the new expansion will offer “Endless waves. Endless strategies. Endless madness…” Now, that sounds like the Darkest Dungeon I know and love/hate!
The next time we’re likely to see The Butcher’s Asylum is going to be during the WePlay Expo in Shanghai, China, which is happening later this month, between November 21 and 22. Apparently, the devs are planning a special presentation for the event.
Now, check out the new teaser trailer below if you haven’t already, and stay tuned for more Darkest Dungeon II: The Butcher’s Asylum news as soon as it drops.
