If you like your action-RPGs full of charm, whimsy and strange beasts, then Everything is Crab: The Animal Evolution Roguelite is a game to put on your radar/wishlist/backlog.
It’s the work of Odd Dreams Digital and Secret Mode, and it’s a game that we’ve been keeping close tabs on for a while here at Rogueliker. I enjoyed it when I played a bunch before launch, and Kieran said nice things in his review, which you can read via this link! But I digress…

I just caught wind of an upcoming major update for the game, and it’s going to come with some interesting gameplay evolutions. Here are the highlights ahead of the update’s arrival on June 25, when we’ll learn a whole lot more.
For starters and most notably, we’re getting new evolutions and specialisations, including both passive and ultimate evolutions.
Other balance changes include a handy +1 HP when you level up, and a bunch of evolutions have been rebalanced, by the sounds of it. Splicing has also been overhauled a smidge, and once unlocked it will be available in future Pressure runs.
Elsewhere, we’re getting rebinding support, a bunch of bug fixes, and you’ll be able to jump into the codex mid-run, should you so wish.
The developers also re-highlighted the Everything is Crab Roadmap in the same post, which mentions some community-designed additions (although it sounds like the team is still sifting through entries).
