Stylist tactics game Ex Sanguis launched into Early Access just a few weeks ago, on September 10th, when Lightbulb Crew dropped their bloody XCOM-like on Steam into Early Access.
Since then, the studio has been working hard on the first major content drop for the game, which I’m pleased to tell you is out now.
The update even has a name: The Voice of Uriel. That title alludes to the new boss that has been added to the game, but I’m equally looking forward to the new mission type: Survival. As you might expect with a name like that, just staying alive through these missions is going to be challenging.
The update also includes fresh enemy variations, new mission layouts, as well as all the usual bug fixes you would expect.

Finally, the last major thing being added is a more mechanical change, with the devs adding the Repulsion Nexus and the Grasping Vines, new interactive elements that will help and hinder your progress across the game’s grid-based maps.
I played Ex Sanguis at launch, and I enjoyed my first hours with it (you can read my early access impressions via this link). That being so, I’ll continue to keep track of the game as it works its way towards full release, which, based on estimates by the developer, will be next year.
