Update: Players across all modern platforms can now experience one of the finest action roguelites, as Hades II is out now on PS5 and Xbox Series. As Supergiant teased previously, a second post-launch patch rolled out alongside the new versions and can now be downloaded.

Along with a ton of fixes and quality of life improvements (which can be found detailed here), the update adds some new bonus content. New dialogue events have been added for NPCs throughout your journey, and prophecies for characters such as Odysseus and Arachne now have narrated conclusions.

Additionally, crossroads characters can now be gifted Bath Salts, Twin Lures, and Ambrosia indefinitely after forming a deep bond with them, and NPCs whom Melinoë can have non-Platonic relations may occasionally show interest in continuing to have such relations.

Dreamy new decorative items have been added to the Crossroads Training Grounds as well as a new alternate form for each animal familiar. The team has also teased that there are a few additional surprises to uncovered that aren’t detailed in the patch notes.

As I detailed below, Hades II was also added to the Game Pass catalogue on day one, and we’ve gone back and edited our dedicated feature to reflect the new addition.

Original story: After six months of console exclusivity on Nintendo Switch, Hades 2 is completing its descent to the underworld and arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles on April 14.

The acclaimed sequel is also landing day one on Xbox Game Pass and will be joining Vampire Crawlers to make for one hell of a month. Similar to the Switch 2, these versions run at an ultrafast 120 frames per second.

If you already own the game on Switch and PC, there’s also some good news for you as Supergiant has confirmed an update is arriving on the very same day for all platforms. The official patch notes haven’t been revealed, but fans can reportedly expect “bonus content and quality-of-life improvements”.

Mike was very impressed with this action roguelite sequel and even named it as one of his favourite games for 2025.

In his review of Hades II, he said: “Hades II is a wonderful action-roguelite that does a fine job picking up where the first game left off. If you liked the original and you have been waiting for version 1.0 then you can proceed with confidence.”
