The release date for Hades 2 has been confirmed, with Supergiant’s chthonic action-RPG set to land on Nintendo Switch 2 at the same time as the game hits 1.0 on PC (Win) on Steam and EGS.
Hades 2 will be with us on September 25th, I’m delighted to confirm, with a retail release due to follow a couple of months after. It’ll be console-first on Nintendo’s platform, with PlayStation and Xbox releases to follow after. Sorry, folks!
Apparently the Switch 2 version will run at 120 FPS in TV mode, 60 FPS in handheld, and at 1080p across both. There’s a Switch version on the way as well, but the specs weren’t mentioned for that.
More details are going to follow soon, including deets on the physical Switch 2 release, which won’t drop until November 20th. Either way, my month just got a whole bunch busier with one of my favourite games finally ready for launch. Yay!

Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
