Checkmate! The chess-inspired roguelike deckbuilder Master of Piece is making its move to Early Access on February 4th.
Set in a dark, gothic medieval world, the game sees players command mercenary pieces on a tactical grid, combining traits, relics, and positioning to build powerful synergies and overcome brutal encounters.
The game is said to be intuitive and accessible, but mastering it will require insight and experience.
As noted in the following blog, Master of Piece is expected to remain in Early Access for six months to 1 year. The game will be priced at $14.99 and there will be a launch discount of 10% for the first week of sale.
It’s worth pointing out too that there is a demo available for Master of Piece that you can download now on Steam.
