After making an explosive entrance on PC and Nintendo Switch, Otherwar is now taking the fight to PS5 and Xbox Series.
The bullet-hell x tower defense hybrid sees players embody a divine defender – an angel summoned to protect the Gate of Heaven from the relentless Hordes of Hell.
Each enemy here fires a different type of projectile, which will keep players on their toes. Enemies such as necromancers also complicate matters as they raise up undead armies to overwhelm you.
As for the tower defense mechanics, before each mission, players can select towers and skills to aid them in battle. This range from more straightforward offensive towers to more situational ones, such as slowing fields that will bog down approaching enemies.
Otherwar was originally released on Steam in February, and it currently has a ‘Mostly Positive’ user rating. A Switch port of the game later followed, in August last year.
No release date has been announced for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions, but they are said to be ‘coming soon.’
If you like what you see and don’t have the patience for the new platforms, the game is currently on sale for 65% on Steam (until 11th August) and 66% on Nintendo Switch (until 23rd August).
