If you’re a fantasy adventurer and have enjoyed any of the Pathfinder CRPGs, particularly Wrath of the Righteous, then I’ve got some most intriguing news for you today.

According to a press release I just recieved, the aforementioned fantasy RPG has today gotten a free DLC expansion called Visitors from Morta.

On the off chance that you don’t know: Children of Morta is a roguish fantasy adventure on PC and console that features some truly beautiful pixels and was developed by Dead Mage.

If you’re one of the many who has played that game, then know that characters John and Lucy (and Ryker) are in peril and, after arriving in the Pathfinder universe, they must be returned to their own world.

There’s a trailer below, which shows everything off in technicolour, as well as some official notes that I figured were best left intact.

  • A new quest in which players must rescue guests from another world and help them return home
  • A brand new location
  • Two new archetypes with unique animations and spells designed specifically for John and Lucy (players can also access these archetypes when creating new characters)
  • A new female hairstyle designed for Lucy, also available in the character editor
  • Unique enemies infected by the Corruption

As I mentioned up top, the new content is free, and what’s more it’s going to be available across PC and console. You’ll be able to activate the quest in-game (“at the beginning of the second chapter before the Hellknights arrive at the camp, or at any point in chapters 3 and 5”), so check it out if you want to help John and Lucy out of a bind!

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is out now on PC (Mac, Win), PS, and Xbox, with a Switch version also on the way.
