If you’ve got an interest in the wider first-person shooter genre, then you’ll possibly be aware of a certain game called Half-Life, which is made by a little known developer by the name of Valve.
Valve’s all-time Half-Life, was remade recently by a mod team turned dev studio by the name of Crowbar Collective. Their first game was called Black Mesa, and it was a from-the-ground-up remake of the original Half-Life. They did a bloody good job of it, too.
That team has since partnered with the good folks over at Team 17, and the project that they’re working on now is Rogue Point, a military shooter in the style of Counter-Strike, but with roguish replayability.
As it’s Gamescom week and everyone is putting out trailers, Rogue Point is getting one as well. You can watch it below, to see the FPS combat for yourself, but if you want to keep tabs on the game and wishlist it for future reference, you’ll want to head over to Steam.
There’s not much more to report, but I do like the look of this one and you can expect more coverage of Rogue Point here on Rogueliker in due course. As for when that will be? There’s no release date at the time of writing, but I’ll update you here when I know more.
