Developer ProbablyMonsters is bringing some fast-paced co-op action to the Switch later this year in the form of its latest project, Storm Lancers.
Its story sees players crash land on an alien planet harboring a secret source of powerful magic. All of reality is on the verge of collapse, and two magical creatures have chosen you as their heroes. To save the planet, you must fight, die, and bond with the Stormhearts to rise again.
The game has been built for two, with players being able to activate combined abilities, power-ups, and weapons together. They can also seamlessly switch between solo play and co-op if player two has to unexpectedly leave mid-run.
Its runs are also supposedly never the same, with there being shifting biomes. Just like other traditional roguelites, players will discover new gameplay-altering items and gain permanent character upgrades.
Sadly, we don’t have a confirmed release date for Storm Lancers yet, besides a rough Fall 2025 window.
