After making an explosive debut in Steam Early Access in late 2023,Survivor Mercs is gearing up for a PlayStation and Xbox launch, set for an unconfirmed date this summer.
Developed by Wolpertinger Games, this chaotic bullet hell roguelite sees players step into the boots of a randomised clone commander to lead a squad of mercenaries into battle against M.E.G.A. Corp’s deadly robot horde. Your goal is to either survive as long as possible with your loot or risk it all for greater rewards.
A standout feature is that players can build their own killer squad from a roster of rigorous fighters. Each mercenary comes equipped with a unique arsenal and tactical style, allowing players to create powerful synergies by recruiting the right mix of fighters.
As someone who grew up on gaming in the 90s and 00s, couch co-op was another feature I was pleased to see. Up to four players can team up locally to take on endless waves of robot foes together.
To celebrate the impending console launch, a new demo has been released on Steam and can be downloaded now.
