Co-op base building game The Riftbreaker has just received its highly anticipated World Expansion IV content update. The free update introduces a new game mode, a new biome, and more building options.
The new Open Campaign mode allows players to start their adventure in any biome of their choice, bypassing the story progression of the regular campaign. Each starting point places you in a unique early-game scenario, offering a different challenge depending on where you begin.
The new Frozen Cryo Field biome is teased to behave very differently from what players are used to. Resource deposits are spaced further apart but are larger than usual, and players will also be able to naturally find Supercoolant deposits instead of having to manufacture it themselves.
Lastly, the additional building options include larger versions of the Solid Materials Storage and Energy Storage buildings. These are, of course, more expensive, but are a lot more space-efficient for your base. You can find the full changelog for World Expansion IV here.
If you’ve yet to pick up The Riftbreaker, now might be the perfect time. The game has just received its biggest discount to date, shedding 67% as part of the Steam Spring Sale, with the offer running until March 19.
