Windblown is almost ready for takeoff, by the sounds of it, after Motion Twin confirmed that yesterday’s 0.9999999 Update is the 10th and final content patch for the game before it leaves Early Access.
When that will be exactly remains to be confirmed, but it can’t be too far off, given the Dead Cells developer has maintained a steady cadence of updates for Windblown as it has darted through the Early Access process.

The aptly named 0.9999999 Update also has quite a bit of content in, including a dynamic warning system which should be most useful for slowpokes like yours truly. I’m not going to cut and paste much, but this bit seemed quite interesting.
Enemy attack previews mean that there is now a dynamic warning system that allows you to better comprehend combat chaos and react in the heat of the moment, while adjusted attack timings help sharpen the overall flow and feeling of fights.
Other additions include new fast-return portals for any dead ends you encounter, plus an updated shop system. Throw in some new islands, 17 new Affixes, and they even reworked the rarity system.
Finally, there’s a trailer, because who doesn’t love a trailer bolted onto the end of a news piece like this!
