The roguish space is one where we’re blessed with constant innovation, and one game that is looking to be at the forefront of that is 33 Immortals.
Described by developer Thunder Lotus as “a co-op action-roguelike for 33 players”, this one’s all about teaming up with an small army of comrades and taking on epic battles. Here’s how the devs put it:
Play a damned soul, and rebel against God’s final judgment. Dive straight into epic 33-player co-op battles with instant “pick-up and raid” matchmaking. Cooperate with your allies to survive against hordes of monsters and massive, challenging bosses. Expand your arsenal and equip powerful new relics to permanently upgrade your soul. Face the wrath of God in a fight for your eternal life.
As part of The Triple-i Initiative last week, we got another look at this most intriguing title – via the gameplay trailer below – and alongside that, the news dropped that there’s a closed beta in the works.
You can sign up for the beta right here, where you’ll be asked whether you’d like to play on Epic or Xbox, and after that it’ll be a case of waiting patiently, with the closed beta due to run from May 24th until June 2nd.
