Absolum will soon join Hades II and Dave the Diver among a growing number of rogues receiving physical releases on the Switch 2.
Launching in Q3 2026, the new release will come on a full cartridge rather than a game-key card, as seen with many recent titles, including Pokopia and Resident Evil Requiem.
Pre-orders are open now at £44.99 / €49.99 / $49.99 through Silver Lining Direct and participating local retailers.
The critically acclaimed beat em’ up is set in the war-torn world of Talamh and sees players step into the boots of four unique, outcast heroes: Galandra, Karl, Cider, and Brome. Together, they form a desperate rebellion against the Sun King Azra, a tyrant who has outlawed magic and enslaved the realm under his Crimson Order.
This isn’t the first physical release that we have seen for Absolum, as a Special Edition was previously released for PS5 and Switch. This Special Edition included four exclusive metal pins, a full-colour art booklet, poster-quality artwork, and four character trading cards.
In our review of Absolum, Mike concluded: “Absolum is an excellent beat ’em up, and it stands next to BlazBlue: Entropy Effect among the very best in the business.”
