A “happy birthday” is in order for Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles, the dicey roguelite which turns one this week!
To mark the occasion a couple of major milestones are on the horizon. First up, developer Little Leo Games and publisher Akupara Games are releasing the game on PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. Plus, on the same day, there’s also a major update for PC players, too.
The new update, which lands on September 26th and is focused on replayability, introduces a new Daily Run mode. This mode will allow players to compete against the same seeded challenge.
Every day a new seeded challenge! Random Oracle, Random Virtues, Random Starting Dice and Random Modifiers (Modifiers will make run weird in a good way!).
Players can also design their custom rules via the appropriately titled Run Customization options. The announcement mentions a chunky 40+ modifiers are in play, with some that have a profound impact on gameplay.
The new content is unlocked once you’ve beaten the base game, so get to it.
Alongside the post on Steam where I gleaned the above, the devs shared a year in stats for the game, and as I do enjoy nicely visualised data, I was inclined to include it for your consideration!

Awesome first-person rogues: Gunfire Reborn | We almost went with Blue Prince for this spot, but most people checking out first-person rogues probably want to wield a gun, you know?!
Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
Amazing action-roguelites: Hades 2 | And finally, let’s wrap things up with our favourite of them all. There’s no beating the original Hades, although Hades 2 comes pretty close!
