Dave the Diver, everyone’s favourite underwater hero, has completed the set and has launched on Android and iOS today.
If you’re not already in the loop, the hit roguelite by Mintrocket is all about a diver called Dave who must explore an underwater world full of adventure, while catching enough food to serve back at his restaurant: Bancho Sushi. (Hit the link for our Dave the Diver review.)
Speaking of which, the new mobile version supports gyro controls, so you can tilt your handset to pour tea in the restaurant, for example. There are also new view distances to choose from, if you want a slightly different perspective on the smaller screen of your mobile.
The Dredge DLC and the In the Jungle expansion, which we recently reviewed, are also available on mobile platforms. However, the collab with Sega for Like a Dragon didn’t make it over to the Android and iOS versions of Dave the Diver.
Still with me? Of course you are! If you want to keep reading about great hand-picked roguelikes, this website is absolutely chock-full of them. Head over to the Guides Page for a concentrated hit of roguish games, organised via sub-genre and platform.
What’s more, there are always going to be new lists for emerging trends as well as fresh titles to highlight. This is because my backlog is embarrassingly long, and so I’m always trying to balance the new games that arrive in my inbox with playing the stuff I already have.
