Grimdark role-playing fans are invited to limber up their wallets and purses because there’s a new Kickstarter for MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme, an upcoming roguish video game based on the infamous tabletop RPG.
I’ve been through the offer and there’s a lot to like. The game is well on the way to being funded over on Kickstarter so it looks like this one is getting made regardless, however, there are some stretch goals to aim for, including a boss rush mode and extended soundtrack.
There is some really evocative prose explaining everything over on the funding page, including descriptions of the setting and world, which is very distinct within the realm of fantasy RPGs. Yet there are also some key features worth highlighting here:
Multiple classes defined by their “horrible” abilities.
Side-scrolling action.
A “dynamic, unforgiving combat system”.
Random catastrophes in a grimdark fantasy world.
Streamlined ARPG elements.
PC first, console to follow after. Hopefully.
PC Windows is confirmed, Mac is under consideration.
Launch expected in 2026.
The game is being developed by The Textorcist developers MorbidWare.
There’s a lot to unpack there and even more over on the Kickstarter page, so I’ll leave you some trailer vibes to see this out.
