Update: PUBG’s new PvE roguelite mode Xeno Point is out today on PC and will be coming to consoles on April 16th.

Launching as part of the shooter’s 41.1 update, the time-limited mode sees players taken on an alien threat that has overtaken Miramar. It sees players complete missions across multiple regions and push into higher-tier zones before facing the final boss, the Architect.

Along their journey, players will be able to customize their playstyle with Blue Chip Skills built for offense, defense, or support. They can also use super abilities powered by alien energy, and strengthen their characters across repeated sessions.

Krafton is even launching a global competition for Twitch and Kick creators surrounding the new mode. The Xeno Point Streamer Challenge has a prize pool of $100,000 and will see registration open April 4, with PC and console events running through April 23. Full details will be available on the official PUBG website.

Original text: I bet PUBG was a game that you never expected to see us cover here at Rogueliker. Well, our worlds have just collided as KRAFTON, Inc. has revealed a new roguelite mode is coming to the battle royale as part of its 2026 roadmap.

Releasing this April, the new mode, Xeno Point, will be a co-op roguelite looter shooter that blends progression systems with strategic gameplay. Players can fight off endless waves, grow their character, and co-ordinate with their team to take down big bosses.

Alongside this new mode, a new Payday crossover co-op heist is also on the way for players to look forward to. Just like the Payday games, this one is said to require smart planning, stealth, and role division.

Believe it or not, 2026 marks the ninth year of PUBG, and the game shows no signs of slowing down recording 1.3 million concurrent players this month.

While I wouldn’t call myself the biggest PUBG fan, it’s exciting to see even more mainstream titles adding rogue-ish modes. Some other games to hop on this trend include Fortnite and Naraka: Bladepoint.
