We’ve been keeping fairly close tabs on Neon Abyss 2 since it first hit Early Access on Steam last year, and since then, Vewoo Games has been steadily updating and upgrading its action-roguelite sequel.
The next stage in this ongoing process is the newly released Glimmer Heist Update, which includes a new Agent, Cassie, plus a returning titan and a new god. Here’s the official write-up for the newest addition to the side-scroller’s roster of chaos merchants:
Cassie’s standard weapon is the ranged Glint gun – which fires a lucky bullet every four shots. The number of lucky bullets scales with the keys you have, and Cassie has a way to help you out there, as well.
The update, which also includes a new character to beat called Lisa the God of Galleries, and a new trailing room to practice in, launched with a new trailer, which I’ve embedded below for your convenience.
Finally, a word on the roadmap for Neon Abyss 2
Vewoo also used this update as a chance to reassess their journey through EA and ammend the roadmap for Neon Abyss 2. Based on feedback, the devs have moved things around and laid out their plans for the next few months.
This has meant that they have delayed the Curse system for a bit, while they see how the new additions gel with the community and what’s already been thrown into the abyss.
