Steam Next Fest is almost here, and this time around I’m going to throw the net a bit wider than usual, with a round-up that includes even more demos than ever before.
I’m going to do that by being a bit indiscriminate. In the run-up to every Next Fest, I get inundated with codes for demos and playtests. Dozens, if not hundreds. Certainly many more than one man, no matter how handsome and well-adjusted, could possibly hope to cover properly.
That being the case, I’m going to share my mailbag of demos with you here, with inclusions for pretty much every game that was sent to me in the last couple of weeks. All of these devs went to the trouble of contacting me and pitching their games, and I want to reward that effort, even if I can’t give all of them the attention that they deserve.
The only titles I’ve omitted from the round-up below are those that aren’t roguelites and don’t meet our anti-genAI editorial policy. However, everything else is included, along with the game’s Steam page blurb, as written by the developers themselves. There are no favourites here, just demos. In alphabetical order, they are:
