It has been one whole year since The Rogue Prince of Persia left early access on PC and, at the same time, graced the PS5 and Xbox Series with its presence.
It was in December that the game arrived on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and there has been a physical release for PS5 and Switch 1+2 this year, too. It has been a busy old time for everyone involved!
Not only that, but the team at Evil Empire has been working away on updates, and that relates directly to the major takeaway from today’s announcement. Specifically, the big summer update that we’ve all been patiently awaiting, is due to land on September 17th – just before the end of the astronomical summer and therefore bang on time!
I’m hearing that the Anniversary Update is a unified one, which means it’ll be hitting all platforms at the same time, so that’s good news for console-owning peeps, too.
Finally, congratulations are in order! The team at Evil Empire and Ubisoft will be popping the ol’ champagne corks after the game reached an incredible milestone. The Rogue Prince of Persia has now sold one million copies across all platforms. A tremendous result for a studio shipping its first title. GG, folks!
