If you’ve recently played the excellent Rogue Prince of Persia, we’ve got some exciting news for you, as the game will soon receive two free major updates as part of its upcoming spring roadmap.
Arriving in April, The Breathless Update introduces a new Freeze element, additional tools and equipment, a reworked tutorial, and much more. A public beta is set to arrive late in March, so be sure to keep an eye out!
An “Endgame” Update is set to follow in May and will add a new parkour mode, daily awakening challenges, and more challenge rooms in runs. Something that caught my eye about this one is that it teases the addition of pets, though, it’s unclear how they will appear in the game.

I had a great time playing The Rogue Prince of Persia when it shadowdropped last August. In my review, I said: “With some of Ubisoft’s major franchises starting to feel stale in recent years, The Rogue Prince of Persia is a promising reminder of how refreshing these classic IPs can be when given to the right team. Here’s hoping more of the catalogue gets the same revival treatment.”
