Racing is taking over the roguelite scene right now, and yet another high-speed game just appeared in my rearview mirror inbox as it prepares to launch into Early Access next month.
Backseat Champions is the name of this intriguing new racing roguelite autobattler, and I just got word from indie dev f13rce that the game is heading to Early Access in November, on Friday the 13th to be precise.

If you’re intrigued by the prospect of directing a racing team rather than having to be behind the wheel yourself, Backseat Champions sounds like it’s going to hit Early Access with a bunch of content, including eight vehicle types, 53 track layouts across dozens of circuits, dynamic weather, as well as solo play, local split-screen, and online multiplayer.
The game also sounds like it’s going to offer a fair amount of flexibility and creativity, too. We’ll be able to make our own tracks via the included editing tools, as well as customise liveries and rival teams.
There’s already a demo you can take out for a test drive over on Steam, where Backseat Champions is playable for PC (Lin, Win).
