Best known for its work supporting Dead Cells with post-launch content, Evil Empire has quickly turned the Triple-i Initiative into a must-watch event for indie fans, particularly those with a taste for roguelikes.
Some of the confirmed games we spotted in the below trailer include Brotato, Risk of Rain 2, Warhammer Survivors, Cloverpit, and Rift of the Necrodancer. Non-rogue announcements to be featured also include Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Alkahest, and Dead as Disco.
When it comes to what we could see in the indie showcase, all we can do at this point is speculate. For Brotato, could it perhaps be a follow up DLC to Abyssal Terrors or the launch of Paws & Claws on console? Maybe we could get an exact release date for Warhammer Survivors or a new exciting cross-over pack for Rift of the Necrodancer?
Looking back at last year’s showcase, we got the reveal for Void/Breaker (which we conveniently previewed today), Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core was also announced (our news round-up for the series can be found here) and the Emerald Diorama expansion for Vampire Survivors shadow dropped.
With plenty of exciting announcements already teased, we’ll be bringing you live coverage on the day. Stay tuned for all the latest updates, and in the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the upcoming showcase below:

The best turn-based roguelikes: Caves of Qud | There are some seriously incredible turn-based roguelikes out there. Of all the modern games, these are the closest to the original Rogue.
Awesome first-person rogues: Gunfire Reborn | We almost went with Blue Prince for this spot, but most people checking out first-person rogues probably want to wield a gun, you know?!
Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
Amazing action-roguelites: Hades 2 | And finally, let’s wrap things up with our favourite of them all. There’s no beating the original Hades, although Hades 2 comes pretty close!
