Feisty zombie-filled road trip adventure Death Road to Canada has been out infecting the masses for almost a whole decade now, since 2016, and that is some impressive longevity by any measure.

This pixel-art roguelite adventure invites you to explore a world full of the undead as you try and escape the end times. A big part of the game’s longevity comes from the fact that this world is ever-expanding. A case in point is the new Bank, Marshland, and Viaduct locations that we just added in the new Retina update, which landed today along with a bunch of extra goodies.

The update over on Steam mentions the addition of newly minted playable characters, two new gameplay modes, as well as an assortment of weapons, perks, and traits.

What’s more, work has already begun on the next update, Stomach, which should be dropping in around four months time.

In fact, while we’re on the subject of releases, first there’s the news that Death Road to Canada’s updates will be spaced out a little more in the future, to give the modding community time to catch up with all the new features that are being added.

Space Dingus Playtest

Finally, there’s a small update from Rocketcat Games about its next project: Space Dingus (which I first covered here).

There’s an interesting new dev blog here that offers updates on development of a game that is looking to take the basic premise of Death Road to Canada, and take it up into the vastness of space.

I mean, that sounds pretty silly, but in a good way.

The first public test for Space Dingus is likely to happen early next year, so make sure you head over to Steam and wishlist the game, if you want to be among the first to beam up for playtesting duty.
