It was just a few weeks ago, in early June, that we wrote about the impending release of No Rest for the Wicked. The plan was to bring the game out of Early Access on PC and launch on PlayStation 5 later this year, in October. That plan appears to have been too ambitious.

Moon Studios has now revised the launch window for No Rest for the Wicked, with the punishing ARPG soulslike set to hit PC and PS5 in March, 2027. Furthermore, there’s still no word on when the game will follow on Switch 2 and Xbox Series, which is still to be determined.

Between now and March, the plan is to arrange some playtests, with an open beta due in December. If you’re eager to try the game and you don’t want to jump in while it’s in Early Access, that’s your chance.

The studio shared the following message on YouTube, and you can see the full delay announcement trailer below for all the details.

“The honest truth is that we’re a small team, and we’re holding our games to a standard we won’t compromise on. We’re close, but close isn’t good enough for our full 1.0 launch.

“The extra time will help us improve performance, tighten the class system, and polish the whole game to the standard you all deserve. We’d rather take a few more months than ship something that we know isn’t quite perfect yet,” they wrote.

Finally, the availability of the Founder’s Pack has been extended until the end of the year, and if you’re on PS5, you can pre-order in early 2027 to get the extras.
