For my money, the best new game to be revealed at tonight’s Future Games Awards was ReVamp, a new gothic gothic tower-defensevania from Moonlighter developer Digital Sun.
The game sees you take on the role of Dracula, commanding a fearsome army of monsters to defend your throne from relentless invaders. You can customize your castle room by room to surprise intruders, funneling them into deadly, unexpected choke points.
When these defenses inevitably falter, Dracula swoops into battle and unleashes devastating blood-fueled abilities. After each run you’ll also permanently be able to unlock new chambers, stronger minions, and deeper strategic possibilities.
Sadly, at the time of writing there isn’t a confirmed release date for ReVamp, but Digital Sun has said it will host multiple playtests in the coming months to gather community feedback.
This is the only announcement that Digital Sun has made this week. The first major Early Access update for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault recently went live and added a new combat path, 20 new combat rooms, and a new wave-based challenge mode.

Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
Amazing action-roguelites: Hades 2 | And finally, let’s wrap things up with our favourite of them all. There’s no beating the original Hades, although Hades 2 comes pretty close!
