Earlier this year, Switch owners were treated to the latest entry in the Shiren Mystery Dungeon series, and the response has been very positive across the board. Not only did reviewers such as myself really enjoy it, but the title was a hit with players and quickly amassed more than 200,000 sales, making it the fastest-selling entry in the series.

With that success in mind, it makes all the sense in the world that this lauded Switch-exclusive would make its way over to PC, and that’s what Spike Chunsoft has just confirmed.

According the press release that’s sitting in my inbox, Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is heading to PC Steam sometime during the winter, which could mean it’s releasing in a couple of weeks or a couple of months, but either way, it’s “coming soon”. Update: the date has been confirmed, and the new Shiren will drop on December 11.

There’s a Steam page up and running, and two more for its DLC and soundtrack respectively, which are going to be available separately. The game has received several free content updates since it launched on the Switch earlier this year, and that content will be included as part of the base game.

Stay tuned for more news soon!
