Sci-fi roguelike Breachway has just deployed its biggest update since launching into Early Access last September.
The update targets everything from cards to ship setup and meta-progression. Some of the highlights include expanded progression with hours of new gameplay, a new tier system for cards and equipment, and the ability to customise your setup by selecting equipment you want to take with you at the start of a run. You can find the full patch notes for the update here.
Edgeflow Studio is also working on an initial roadmap for 2025, which we imagine we will see pretty soon, given that we’re in May.
Breachway is a deckbuilding sci-fi roguelike where ship management and crew upgrades are key to survival. Its cel-shaded look is striking, and there’s plenty of depth, with players customising their spacecraft, crew, and deck to face an increasingly dangerous universe.

Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
Amazing action-roguelites: Hades 2 | And finally, let’s wrap things up with our favourite of them all. There’s no beating the original Hades, although Hades 2 comes pretty close!
