There’s good vibes coming out of Ironwood Studios today, with the news that Pacific Drive just got a tasty new update and a price drop.

Of course a 40% discount on Steam/Epic/PS5 is nice, but the update is the main point of concern here, so let’s dig into what the new content brings to the table:

Endless Expeditions is the name of the free content update, and introduces a couple of significant features that should improve the game’s replayability considerably and is being described as “perfect for roguelite fans”. Now that’s what I like to hear!

“Expeditions start in the garage with an ever-changing set of challenges and restrictions, generating new routes, and ramping up the difficulty to ensure that every journey feels fresh,” the presser explained, before also confirming that we’ll be able to save our progress at any time.

On top of that you’ll be able to visit Ida’s Exchange while out on patrol, plus there has been an injection of new tunes, with 21 songs added the OST. Finally, there are some UI improvements that should help with navigation.

All told, that’s a healthy update for an already enigmatic game. The new modes will definitely bring Pacific Drive’s roguishness to the fore, and I look forward to revisiting the game (as soon as I get a spare minute – this month is busy). Check out the trailer below for more…
