If you’re among the many people out there who have been pulled into the world of Balatro, the poker-themed deckbuilder from LocalThunk, then I have some fantastic news to brighten your day.

There’s a new selection of collaborative decks available in the game as of today’s free update, and there are some huge names in the mix for the second card pack: Friends of Jimbo (Pack 2).

The first time around, LocalThunk and Playstack partnered with fellow publishers to bring The Witcher, Among Us, Dave the Diver, and Vampire Survivors to the game (more on that here). Now, in the spirit of Balatro’s poker theme, the ante has been upped!

Once more the developer has worked with CD Project Red, this time for Cyberpunk 2077. On top of that, there’s a true indie darling in the form of Stardew Valley, with Eric Barone’s wonderful farm life RPG joining the CDPR’s sci-fi blockbuster.

Then it’s time for the roguelikes. First up is The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, which is a great fit if you ask me. I’m definitely equipping this one first because of course I am.

Then there’s the big one, assuming your a big deckbuilders fan (if you are, my guide to the best deckbuilders will see you right). The two biggest games in the genre have teamed up and Slay the Spire will also be getting some exclusive face cards in Balatro!

“After we launched the first collaboration pack this summer, we knew we wanted to invite even more friends to join the party,” Playstack’s Wout van Halderen said. “Working with these talented developers and studios has been such a rewarding experience, and seeing their creations in Balatro has been a real highlight for both Playstack and LocalThunk.”

The expansion is free (thank you very much) and it’s available now on all platforms, including the recently release mobile versions of the game. You’ll find them all in the “Customise Deck” section of the game’s settings!
