Racing games within the roguelike space are something of a rare breed, that’s why we are especially pleased to present to you Desert Race Adventures.
Developed by Portuguese indie developer Firedrake Games and published by Black Smoke Studios, the game looks reminiscent of classic 90s arcade racers, with the added depth of strategy and resource management.
According to the game’s Steam page, every decision you make from choosing your team members to managing your vehicle’s resources impacts your journey across Europe and Africa.
Racing games already have a high replay value, but Desert Race Adventures sounds like it pushes the bar even higher. The game has multiple strategies to explore, team compositions to try out, and an unpredictable events system that makes each playthrough unique.
Desert Race Adventures is planned to be released this summer on PC (Steam) and at a later date in 2025 on Nintendo Switch.
