A month after Platinum became the latest playable character added to BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, the dev team at 91Act is back with another injection of content to keep players happy.
The eloquently named Fall 2026 Major Free Update adds major new threats to the game, most notably a powerful new elite boss called Nine the Phantom. Here’s the official spiel about this witchy-looking lady and how she’ll try to kick your digital backside:
Nine can attack by casting individual element spells or combine different elements to unleash a variety of devastating spells. In addition to her extensive magical arsenal, she can summon powerful familiars to aid her in battle.
To deal with her relentless attacks, players must carefully read her changing attack patterns, time their dodges, and find openings to strike back amid the magical onslaught.
Also included in the update is a new stage called Remains, and within that level, players will find an enormous machine called The Lost Gearhulk.
This giant robotic boss will smash at you with its hulking arms, but as you can see in the screenshot below, it’ll keep going for you even once you’ve had both of its arms off.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X’s Fall 2026 Major Free Update is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, although Switch owners will have to wait a while longer for the content to land there.
