The rhythmic roguelite, otherwise known as GRIDbeat!, has just been updated with a new Zen mode – ideal for those who like a toe-tapping arcade experience but maybe need a hand finding the beat.
The ten new Zen levels take place to the tune of five new songs, plus there are loads of new animations bringing a chiller vibe to the game.
On top of all that Zen stuff, there is also a bunch of quality-of-life improvements baked into the cake. The UI has been updated to make things easier to read/parse, and in general, there are several new accessibility features intended to ease players into things.
GRIDbeat! is out now on PC (Win) and Nintendo Switch!

Still with me? Of course you are! If you want to keep reading about great hand-picked roguelikes, this website is absolutely chock full of them. Head over to the Guides Page for a concentrated hit of roguish games, organised via sub-genre and platform.
What’s more, there are always going to be new lists for emerging trends and fresh titles to highlight. This is because my backlog is embarrassingly long, and so I’m always trying to balance the new games that arrive in my inbox with playing the stuff I already have.
