Roguelike deckbuilders might have recently flooded the market, but have you ever come across one where you wield two decks?
This is the unique hook of Shroom and Gloom, a moody first-person rogue published by Devolver Digital and developed by Team Lazerbeam. Here, players use their explore deck to navigate dungeons and unlock new abilities, and their combat deck is used to survive fierce battles with many different fungal foes.
Alongside its unique dual-deck mechanic, Shroom and Gloom stands out with a striking hand-drawn art style and a visually distinctive first-person card-playing perspective.

A demo is available now on Steam for Shroom and Gloom. This sneak peek at the game allows players to build two distinct decks, battle through 26 handcrafted tunnels, and face off against spore-swarming enemies and biome bosses.
We still don’t have a firm release date just yet, though, as its Steam page simply reads “to be announced.”
