Void/Breaker has left Early Access (since yesterday, actually, but I got distracted), and there’s a hefty injection of new content to tell you about, including full support for my DualSense controller. Yay!
Of course, the main highlight here is the conclusion to the game, with a sixth zone to work through and a new final boss to defeat. There are new endgame weapons and there’s a new endgame hub, too.
“Here we are at 1.0,” developer Daniel Stubbington wrote of the game’s launch on PC. “First I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who jumped in during early access. Your feedback, support and enthusiasm has played a huge part in shaping VOID/BREAKER into what it is today.”
“For those joining at 1.0, welcome to VOID/BREAKER! I began development in early 2023 with one aim, to create the intense destruction FPS roguelite I’d been craving to play for so long.
“A pure passion project through and through, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.”
There’s also a new Supporter’s Pack, which comes with several unique weapon skins, plus an art book and the official soundtrack by Joe Ford. That’s available on Steam if you’re intrigued.
Finally, console owners can get in on the action too, as Void/Breaker is now available on PS5 and Xbox Series. I/We really enjoyed the game during Early Access on PC, and I’ll have a proper review in the near future, because this destructive FPS is well worth a deeper dive.
