Russian developer 1C Game Studios has released a final definitive version of its fantasy roguelike deckbuilder under a brand new name.

Deathless. Tales of Old Rus is now known as Deathless. The Hero Quest and the game’s final update introduces a range of improvements, including a new opening cinematic, refreshed victory animations for each hero, and a formidable new enemy type. The full list of changes can be found in this blog post from the developer.

Deathless. The Hero Quest, if you are unaware, is a melting pot of different genres, combining elements of roguelikes, collectible card games, and turn-based strategy. Across their journey, players can build a unique deck of cards, discover unusual relics, and defeat legendary bosses, playing as four heroes with unique playstyles.

The game also features beautifully illustrated visuals (as seen in the screenshot above) which are inspired by Slavic mythology.

Deathless. The Hero Quest is out now on both Steam and Epic Games Store, and there is currently a demo available if you fancy a taster.
