Thorium took the opportunity presented by The Triple-i Initiative to unveil Undermine 2, a new sequel that looks to build “on the best aspects of” the first game and take “dungeon crawling to a whole new level.”

The announcement trailer can be viewed below, and the Steam listing also had one or two things of note worth sharing.

New features being introduced in the sequel include two-player local drop-in co-op (and online via Steam Remote Play), playable character classes that “significantlly” alter the feel of the game, and branching paths that lead to a final challenge determined by your past choices.

On top of that we’re promised more characters, more zones, items, mod support, and new interactive relics called Arcana. These new abilities “can make an old character feel new by centering entire builds around their function.”

There’s no official release date for this PC game, so stay tuned for more details. Now, watch the trailer to see the sequel in action.
