Inching ever closer to release, top-down action-roguelite Below the Stone has received its penultimate update in Early Access.
The Combat Update adds new secondary attacks for melee weapons, armour set bonuses that can grant additonal buffs, and several new biomes. There has also been a change to armour recipes, with some armour sets now requiring ingredients from specific biomes to craft.
Finally, developer Strollart has confirmed the next update for Below the Stone will be its last. The final update is planned for summer 2026, and it will look to add Layer 3 to the game and will add bosses to Layer 2 and 3. You can find the full patch notes from the Combat Update here.
The last major update for Below the Stone was its Kingdom ‘o Quests update that rolled out last August. This update added a whole bunch of content to the game, including a pub for your dwarf.
