If you’ve ever wanted to be an evil pharma CEO, develop bio weapons and generally be a bad person with anti-social priorities, but you’re just too nice inside, then I’ve found the perfect game to let you live out your horrible fantasies without having to… you know… be evil.

The name of the game is Undead Inc. and looks a little bit like Fallout Shelter (or the strategy layer from XCOM) if you were tasked with running a regional office for Resident Evil’s Umbrella Corporation.

Undead Inc. is a newly announced game from Rightsized Games and Team17 Digital, and it looks like an excellent opportunity for kind-hearted folks like you, Dear Reader, to exercise your sinister side, if indeed that is an itch you feel like scratching.

The game casts you in the role of a franchise owner who is setting up a regional office of the Endswell Medical Corporation. This sinister company will have you expanding your offices, recruiting people, and researching potential dangerous biotech.

The newly established Steam page mentions a release date announcement is due in March, and there’s a trailer that alludes to the sinister things that you’ll be getting up at Endswell Medical. There’s also quite a lot of interesting information in the linked listing, including an explanation of the roguish mechanics which I thought I’d paste in its entirety, for your convenience:

Losing control is a matter of when, not if… When the time comes, ensure you are ready. Gather any trusted staff, as much money research you can carry and make your way to the extraction point before it’s too late. Anything gathered will be of great use in your next franchise…

Undead Inc. is currently only heading to PC. If you want to know more or sign up for the newsletter, head over to the official website. As for Undead Inc.’s release date, of course I’ll update you right here as soon as I know more!

Still with me? Of course you are! If you want to keep reading about great hand-picked roguelikes, this website is absolutely chock-full of them. Head over to the Guides Page for a concentrated hit of roguish games, organised via sub-genre and platform.

What’s more, there are always going to be new lists for emerging trends as well as fresh titles to highlight. This is because my backlog is embarrassingly long, and so I’m always trying to balance the new games that arrive in my inbox with playing the stuff I already have.
