Classy dice-builder Die in the Dungeon has entertained me/us quite thoroughly here, throughout Early Access and then at launch, too.
Our review of the game at 1.0 explains how it’s “refreshing to play a game that takes its dice mechanisms seriously enough that you feel like individual situations with monsters and the resources you have to fight them are nice, individual puzzles.”
If that sounds like your idea of a good time, and you’re currently rocking a Nintendo Switch, then I have good news for you: Die in the Dungeon dropped on the hybrid console yesterday.
I think this game is a particularly good fit for the platform, given its addictive gameplay, low file size, family-friendly aesthetic, and deceptively challenging gameplay. It also works on both the Switch and the Switch 2 (via Nintendo.com).
As for the other half of the headline, testing is currently underway on the PC version of the game. As explained on Steam, the devs are looking for willing test subjects for the PC (Lin, Mac, Win) versions of the game.
The upcoming mini-update will include a new event, quality-of-life improvements, and new accessibility options. GG, folks, my old eyes approve of the new font!
