November is shaping up to be a busy one for new releases, and if you’re a fan of cute-but-sinister RPGs, then Annihilated may be worth keeping at least one beady eye on.
Annihilated, which was originally due to launch earlier this year, is described as a story-driven roguelite RPG about a rescue mission gone wrong.
You’re sent to retrieve some lost heroes whose previous mission failed. Apparently, the dungeon itself has turned on them, and you’ve got to contend with that, find the missing heroes, and then bring one of them home and help them with their respective problems.
The whole thing is brought to life via a deep branching storyline, with four distinct main paths and then plenty of additional dialogue options to follow as you look to rescue the game’s four main heroes and uncover more about what happened to them.
On top of a story focus, Annihilated also includes an interesting weapon degradation mechanic. Simply put, the closer your weapon is to falling apart, the stronger it is in battle. According to the developers at Death Kumiai, it is often worth breaking your weapons to get the most out of them during combat.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, you can check out the new trailer for Annihilated’s release date below. Similarly, you can head over to Steam if you’d like to wishlist the game ahead of its launch on PC (Win) on November 10th.
