Polish developer Weird Jonny Studio has lifted the curtain on their latest project, Last Mage, a spell-based bullet hell roguelite.
In Last Mage, you play as a spellcaster who has been taken captive and has one final shot at redemption. After being dragged in chains to the dungeons to be torn apart by bloodthirsty monsters, you must fight for your survival and reclaim your freedom.
After choosing a starting rune, players will come face-to-face with hordes of monsters and unlock new spells as they level up. The experience gathered from each descent can be spent on skills in the skill tree, improving on aspects such as stamina, strength, and speed.
One standout feature that Last Mage has is related to its inventory system. The size and structure of your backpack influences your ability to carry magical items and survive dungeons. To maximise your chances, you’ll need to experiment with different bag combinations, unlock new parts, and rearrange the placement of your inventory.
No release date is currently confirmed for Last Mage, but a demo is planned to arrive on Steam in Q4 2025. Mobile gamers are in luck too, as there are future plans for an Android and iOS release.
