With Patapon spiritual successor Ratatan hitting consoles in a matter of months now, Ratata Arts and Game Source Entertainment have announced that pre-orders for physical editions are now open. These can be purchased through major retailers such as Amazon and will be ready just in time for launch on July 16th.

Available on PS5 and Switch 2, the physical release is priced at $34.99 and includes an early purchase bonus: the Legendary Weapon, “Spirit Sword Banbansord.” A digital-exclusive Deluxe Edition is also available for $39.99, featuring a Special Weapon & Accessory Set, a Cobun Set, a Growth Material Set, and the same early purchase bonus.

If you do decide to purchase the physical edition, it has been confirmed content in the Deluxe Edition can be purchased separately at launch.

Ratatan is out now in Early Access and will be releasing in full on July 16th on PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series.

We recently reported how the PS4 and Switch versions of the game were cancelled due to the developer deciding to “focus on a smaller number of platforms to achieve maximum quality.”

I check out Ratatan’s demo during last June’s Steam Next Fest. In my preview, I said: “After a handful of runs, things did click eventually, and I had fun experimenting with different elemental abilities and crafting new weapons and items at the hub world.”
