If you’re the kind of soul who likes to know what it is that you’re equipping before you grab it, then you’re probably also the sort of person who likes to tab out of a game like the The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth in order to check the stats of a new piece of gear.
It has been thus for many years, with Isaac’s ever-expanding roster of items swelling the ranks and making things all the more confusing for players to keep track of. Well, no more!
That’s because The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth just got a much requested feature: in-game item descriptions! You’ll have to defeat Mom before the feature will unlock, and then grab items before you get the description next time.
Fans will know that has been a much-wanted feature for many years, and I’m sure that we all welcome its inclusion. That said, the unlock conditions mean that isn’t as noob friendly as it might have been, and if you’re still exploring the game for the first time then you’re still going to have to experiment a little.
Elsewhere, all trinkets have been upgraded with new effects, plus a bunch of a weaker ones have been given some extra juice. There are also new challenges in the Devil Rooms, as well as the usual tweaks and changes. You can read more about the minutiae over on Steam.
