Just in for collectors, The Rogue Prince of Persia received a physical release on Switch 1 & 2 this Friday.
The game is available in two Game-Key Card editions: a Standard Edition priced at $34.99 and an Immortal Edition for $49.99. The Immortal Edition comes packaged with several extra goodies including a steelbook, poster, and three lithography prints.
The new physical edition represents an excellent time to jump into the action roguelite, as its set to soon receive two big updates. Arriving in April, the The Breathless Update introduces a new Freeze element, additional tools and equipment, a reworked tutorial, and much more. Following in May, the “Endgame” Update will add a new parkour mode, daily awakening challenges, and more challenge rooms in runs.
I reviewed The Rogue Prince of Persia when it first parkoured its way out of Early Access. In my review, I said: “With some of Ubisoft’s major franchises starting to feel stale in recent years, The Rogue Prince of Persia is a promising reminder of how refreshing these classic IPs can be when given to the right team.”
